The Flamenco is a Spanish dance that is done along side guitar playing and singing. During my research of Barcelona, there were tons of suggestions for Flamenco shows. Our hotel suggested a show with dinner at Tablao Flamenco Cordobes.
The venue is located in Las Rambla area (La Rambla, 35, 08002). Be watchful as the area is crowded and full of pick-pocketers. Tablao Flamenco Cordobes is hard to spot until you see a line outside for the show. You check in with the host and wait until your name is called. There are several options including dinner, happy hour or a drink with a ticket. It is suggested to buy the tickets in advance to ensure availability and to secure a low cost.
The seating is somewhat of an amphitheater style and it’s not stated anywhere but the more money you pay the better your seat is. When I showed my ticket they told the attendant not to sit us up front. I wished I hid the cost of my ticket. As it was only drink and the show but since I paid online it was cheaper than paying at the door.
The seats are very narrow and hard for a tall person to be comfortable without bumping into someone. You are not allowed to take photos and video until the end. It was an ok experience that I probably could have skipped and watched on YouTube.
